Giovanni Cobolli Gigli says Juventus would not be tempted to sell Alessandro Del Piero for £100m.

President Cobolli Gigli uninterested in cashing-in on stars

Juventus president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli has stated that the Serie A giants would not be tempted to sell Alessandro Del Piero for £100million. Cobolli Gigli's comments follow Manchester City's interest in AC Milan star Kaka, with reports suggesting a deal in excess of £100million could be in the offing. Juve goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has also been linked with City in the past, but Cobolli Gigli is adamant Juve will not lose any of their star personnel. "We have never received any offer for Buffon," said Cobolli Gigli. "As for Del Piero, he is the star and central column of Juve and would not be remotely interested in leaving Turin. "No, we would not sell him, not even for £100m. These figures, especially at this moment when the world and football should be reconsidering its finances, are just illogical."
