City frontman thanks fans for concern

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has revealed he will begin physio on his injured knee on Wednesday and is 'very eager' to get started. The Argentina international was stretchered off in the early stages of Sunday's 3-2 home win over Southampton after suffering a heavy blow to his knee. Earlier this week he moved to calm fears the injury is a serious one amid speculation he had suffered ligament damage. The 24-year-old had more good news for City fans on Tuesday after revealing via his official Twitter account that he is set to step up his recovery process. Aguero said: "Thank you all for your concern. I'm better but still resting with an ice pack on the swollen area. "And very eager to start recovery physio tomorrow! I'll keep you posted. All the best!"
