City are through to the knock-out stages of the competition for the first time after Sergio Aguero's brace and Alvaro Negredo's hat-trick sealed back-to-back wins over CSKA.
The 2-1 victory in the Russian capital a fortnight ago had been marred by racist chanting directed towards City midfielder Toure.
And the Ivory Coast international was quick to applaud City's supporters for their behaviour on the night at the Etihad Stadium.
"It's amazing, I think it's deserved by the club. We go through to the second round for the first time and it's unbelievable," Toure told Sky Sports.
"I thought we played amazingly well today and we have to say thank you to the fans as well. They showed to the fans of CSKA how supportive our fans are.
"It was very nice to win today, it was very fantastic.
"We are happy with the win today and I think today is a special day for the fans and for the club as well."
Toure also hailed the burgeoning partnership of Aguero and summer signing Negredo, who have scored 22 goals between them so far this season.
He added: "They are working well, they are sharp and now they play very well together."
