The Montenegro international joined from Fiorentina last summer, but did not make his debut until September due to hamstring and thigh problems.
He was sidelined again by a calf injury in October, which ruled him out until the New Year, but did return in the closing months of the campaign.
Six goals, including a crucial strike in this month's 4-0 home win over Aston Villa, highlighted his predatory skills and he hopes to be a key player for City in the future.
"Yes I'm happy. I never think about other solutions, I'm happy here and I know that next year I'm going to play more," he told Sky Sports News.
"The first couple of months when I was injured I wasn't with the squad, but when I was good I was playing 30 minutes, 40, sometimes I start and I feel good.
"I'm pretty sure that next year when I do get preparation with the team, I'm going to play more and score more goals."
Jovetic was linked with a return to Serie A in January, but insists he wants to achieve more success at City after the club landed the Capital One Cup and Premier League crown.
"I heard about a lot of teams but honestly I never think about the solution. I came here to stay long to win so much. For first year I think two titles is okay," he said.
