Slavisa Jokanovic worked with Matej Vydra at Watford and the Fulham boss has "a special plan" to deal with the Championship's top scorer on Saturday.

Derby's Vydra has scored a league-high 17 goals in the second tier this term to help the Rams up to fourth in the table ahead of their home clash with Jokanovic's fifth-placed Fulham.

The two won promotion together with Watford in 2015, when Vydra scored 16 times, so Jokanovic is fully aware of the Czech Republic striker, who should overcome a groin problem to feature.

"I am always worried about the opposition team," Jokanovic said in quotes published on fulhamfc.com.

"But in my hands is my team and the preparation of my team is more important, to share and give them information about what they can expect against different opponents.

"Matej Vydra is [the Championship's] top scorer, a very good player and I am aware of his quality. We have a special plan for that, he is part of this team and can be very dangerous for us and we must be careful."

With heavy snowfall and sub-zero temperatures across the country, Saturday's schedule has already been impacted as Ipswich's home clash with Hull, Burton's trip to Sheffield United, Cardiff's visit to Brentford and Barnsley's game with Norwich in Yorkshire have all been postponed.

Bristol City can take advantage of Sheffield United's weekend off by moving into the top six if they beat Sheffield Wednesday.

The Robins are coming off the back of losing to Cardiff last weekend and manager Lee Johnson is hoping the decision to give his players three days off after that will pay off.

"I've been through what they have gone through in the past, where the anxiety of results gets in the way of performances," he told bcfc.co.uk.

"I took the decision to get them away from football. It was a chance for them to rest up with their families and they have come back to train in difficult conditions.

"I just want to see that buzz and enthusiasm to play. If you are not fired with enthusiasm then you will be fired."

Sunderland will move off the foot of the table if they can beat Millwall while Birmingham would exit the relegation zone with three points at Nottingham Forest.

North-west rivals Bolton and Preston meet at the Macron Stadium.
