The 24-year-old made his debut for the national side in Wednesday's draw with Turkey and now he is being strongly tipped to move on from Stadio Comunale.
Middlesbrough have ironically been touted as the foreign side most likely to capture the forward, but now he has dismissed this and ruled out any possibility of him leaving his Serie A.
"My future is in the hands of Empoli," said Di Natale.
"If I stay here I will be pleased. Otherwise we will see.
"One thing I do want to say is that I will not do the same as Maccarone, I will not move abroad and I do not want to play in a foreign league.
Di Natale admitted that he was delighted with his Azzurri bow.
"I am happy with how I played and delighted with the good press I got, so why should I not think about making the Portuguese finals," he said.
"I got rather emotional when I heard the national anthem, in all honesty when I was told I was in the squad on Sunday I did not think I would play."
Blackburn were also linked with the young star, who now seems set to stay in Serie A - should Empoli decide to cash in on another of their starlets.
