Davies's QPR move stalls

Andrew Davies move from Middlesbrough to QPR looks to have collapsed.

Andrew Davies move from Middlesbrough to Queens Park Rangers looks to have collapsed.

Rangers had a bid of around £1 million accepted by Boro this week, but the West London outfit have been unable to agree personal terms with the young defender.

"We spoke about how much it would be (in wages) and our budget and he didn't even want to come down," said QPR boss Ian Holloway.

"I think it's crazy, but there you go.

"The noises we were hearing were good and I don't know who is advising him, but there you go maybe Imelda Marcos is advising him how much he is worth - I'm very disappointed.

"I rate him and we're the ones who want him - it's a fantastic offer we've made him.

"I don't know if it is dead but we've done all we can."
