QPR have rekindled their interest in Middlesbrough defender Andrew Davies.Queens Park Rangers have rekindled their interest in Middlesbrough defender Andrew Davies.
The 20-year-old spent a successful month on loan at Loftus Road in January and The Hoops wanted to conclude a permanent deal.
However, the England Under-21 international was unsure about the move South and returned to The Riverside Stadium.
Davies has now concluded that his Boro career is all but over and is set to join QPR on loan until the end of the season on Monday.
A permanent deal is now very much in the offing and Davies said: "I thought I had a future at Middlesbrough and I was really taken by surprise.
"I just needed more time to be sure that I was doing the right thing for me and my career.
"But I'm now down for two months and if everything goes well a permanent move is definitely part of the plan."
