The French full back has attracted interest from a number of clubs including Paris Saint German and Liverpool.
He confirmed to leading French football publication But! that he would consider moving to bolster his international ambitions - as a place in the French squad has so far alluded him during his time with Boro.
However, Queudrue insists that he was misquoted - despite admitting he could check about Liverpool's prospects with fellow countrymen Djimi Traore and Bruno Cheyrou.
The full back now says: "I was talking to one of the French papers and the reporter asked me if I thought I hadn't been selected for France because I wasn't playing for a club which was very well known in France.
"He asked me if I thought I would have a better chance if I was playing for a club like Liverpool or Manchester United, or Paris St Germain, who get headlines every week in France.
"I admitted that I would. But it has come back straight in my face.
"I never said that I wanted to move to any of these other clubs.
"I am under contract at Middlesbrough until 2008."
One player definitely happy with Boro life is goalkeeper Brad Jones - who has been outstanding in recent games, filling in for injured number one Mark Schwarzer.
Jones had been on loan at Blackpool earlier this season, but was recalled following injuries and the sale of Carlo Nash to Preston.
The young Aussie is now hoping to push Schwarzer for the top spot.
"I hope I am seen as second choice," he said.
"That's the message I have got over the past few weeks since Carlo Nash left.
"I feel confident, I train with Mark every day and as long as they see I'm calm and confident, and not a nervous wreck, they'll show confidence in me."
