Stewart Downing and George Boateng could be fit for Middlesbrough's trip to Sheff Utd.
Stewart Downing and George Boateng could make their returns for Middlesbrough at Sheffield United this weekend.
Boateng has missed his side's last three games with a knee injury, while Downing has been struggling with a groin problem.
Both players are now making good progress from their injuries and are in contention for the trip to Bramall Lane.
More good news on the injury front for Boro is Julio Arca's return to light training.
Arca has been sidelined since the opening day of the season after breaking his foot against Reading.
Boro boss Gareth Southgate revealed Arca could make his return in the reserves against Blackburn next week.
"Julio hasn't played for six weeks now so we're looking at next Monday's reserve game at Blackburn to start easing him back," Southgate told the club's official website.
