Argentinian midfielder Marcelo Gallardo cannot wait to sign for PSG.
Argentinian midfielder Marcelo Gallardo cannot wait to get started at Paris Saint Germain after flying to the French capital on Friday.
The River Plate star is expected to sign a two-and-a-half year deal in the coming hours to seal a transfer that will be completed when the window opens on 1st January.
PSG are currently struggling in the league but the former Monaco star admits he is relishing his return to Le Championnat.
"I am delighted, it is a huge challenge," Gallardo told AFP.
"It is a big satisfaction that a club like Paris Saint Germain made me their priority."
Whilst Gallardo closes on a move to Parc des Princes, French reports suggest that Monaco star Camel Meriem could soon be joining him with Jerome Rothen moving the other way to rejoin the Principality.
PSG may also need to fend off interest from England in two of their stars, with both Bernard Mendy and Fabrice Pancrate linked with a move to the Premiership.
Pancrate has reportedly attracted the attention of both Fulham and Middlesbrough, whilst former Bolton defender Mendy has endured a nightmare season in the French capital.
