Striker keen on Egypt move

Mido has confirmed he is ready to take a pay-cut to secure a move away from Middlesbrough. The Egyptian striker is desperate to quit The Riverside club and they are keen for him to leave. He spent the latter part of last season on loan at Wigan, but a permanent move to the DW Stadium never materialised. Now, having gone AWOL for the first month of pre-season training - for which he was heavily fined - he is holding talks with Zamalek. Boro revealed earlier this week they had received an offer for Mido, which they were willing to accept, and Zamalek are now emerging as the interested party. Zamalek - who are looking to sell Amr Zaki - are believed to be keen on a season-long loan with a view to a permanent deal. "Zamalek have officially spoken to Middlesbrough and I have no problem going back to Egypt," Mido told Modern TV.
