Midfielder agrees two-year deal with option for additional year
Watford have confirmed the signing of midfielder Josh Walker on a free transfer from Championship rivals Middlesbrough.
Skysports.com revealed earlier on Friday that the 21-year-old was close to a move to Vicarage Road and it has now been confirmed that he has agreed a two-year contract with the option of an additional 12 months.
Walker impressed Watford boss Malky Mackay in a recent trial and did enough to follow Troy Deeney and Jordon Mutch in joining the former Premier League club in August.
Middlesbrough have a sell-on clause as part of the deal for their former Academy graduate, who spent time on loan at Northampton and Rotherham during last season.
Walker made a total of 13 appearances for Middlesbrough, with seven of his outings coming in the Premier League.
