Doncaster Rovers defender George Friend is hoping to be able to return to action in late December as he recovers from a knee injury.
The former Wolves full-back, who can also operate at centre-half, sustained the injury during Rovers' 3-1 win at Scunthorpe in mid-October and has been sidelined ever since.
However, with his rehabilitation going well, the 23-year-old admits he cannot wait to get back to playing football again.
"I picked up the injury on my birthday, 17th October, so I remember the date well, but I have been quite lucky in the sense that Simon Gillett has suffered the same injury, so we've been able to support each other through the recovery process," Friend told skysports.com.
"It is never good when you are the only one in the gym or with the phyisos whilst everyone else is out training, so having Gilly here has helped a lot.
"I'm probably another four or five weeks away from returning to action, so I reckon we are looking at around late December until I can play again, but we will have to see how things go.
"There are a lot of games over the Christmas period, so hopefully I can feature in a fair few of them and get back into the swing of things.
"It is a busy and important period because there are a lot of points up for grabs and I am looking forward to being a part of it again."
