Stoke boss delighted after Potters battle back to win again

Stoke boss Tony Pulis hailed a great result after the Potters came from behind to beat Wolves and made it four league wins on the bounce. Wolves took the lead via a Stephen Hunt penalty on 17 minutes after Jonathan Woodgate had brought down Matthew Jarvis in the box. Woodgate, who was playing at right-back and was already on a yellow card before the penalty award, was replaced soon afterwards by Jermaine Pennant and the Potters improved. They equalised when Robert Huth's effort took a huge deflection off Kevin Doyle before Peter Crouch headed the winner with 20 minutes to play. Pulis told Sky Sports: "It's a great result for us. For the first 20 minutes Wolves absolutely murdered us, they were all over us and we never got going at all.

Bit fortunate

"We were a little bit fortunate with one or two incidents that could have led to other goals, but after that I thought we came into the game and we were the better side from that point onwards." The Stoke boss defended his decision to replace Woogate, who usually plays at centre-back and had been run ragged by Jarvis. He added: "I decided that that was the right thing to do - you've got to make decisions like that as a manager and that's what I've done. "I thought from that point onwards we came more and more into the game. We missed some good chances, good opportunities. "We're a very, very fit team and the lads work really hard for one another and with our great support - we had fantastic support here today - it was a great result."
