Winger looking forward to Championship season

Newly-signed Middlesbrough winger Mustapha Carayol cannot wait to turn out for the Championship side this season. The 23-year-old joined Boro from Bristol Rovers earlier this week, fulfilling a lifelong ambition to play in the English second tier. Carayol is looking forward to the Championship season and is determined to lead Middlesbrough to success. "I knew Tony Mowbray came to watch me in the last game of the season against Dagenham & Redbridge and everything developed from there," he told Middlesbrough's official website. "Years ago I told my friends that it was my aim to play in the Championship by the time I reached 24 - so I have just made it. "I would never have guessed that I would be given the opportunity to play for such a big club so I am really excited about coming here. "I like the challenge that has been put in front of me and hopefully we can stand up and be counted and get promotion." Middlesbrough will begin their Championship campaign with an away game against Barnsley on Saturday 18th August.
