Millwall's Tim Cahill was lucky to escape any form of punishment after appearing to elbow Fulham's Ryan Fredericks

Millwall's Tim Cahill was lucky to escape any form of punishment after appearing to elbow Fulham's Ryan Fredericks.

The Australia international was introduced by Neil Harris with 13 minutes to play as the Lions looked to overturn a two-goal deficit, having been overpowered by the ruthless Cottagers in the opening minutes of the second half.

But just moments after entering the fray, Cahill, 38, tussled with right-back Fredericks as he advanced down the flank and sent him to the deck, appearing to do so with a raised elbow.

He escaped punishment, though he was later booked for a separate late challenge, before Aleksandar Mitrovic struck to give Fulham an eventual 3-0 victory at the Den.
