South Korea's Song Chong-gug and Parma's Japanese playmaker Hidetoshi Nakata have been called up to the World XI squad, which is likely to be coached by Brazil's Luiz Felipe Scolari.
Song (pictured) was preferred to South Korea's World Cup captain and Bronze Ball winner Hong Myung-bo after some fine performances by the Feyenoord midfielder in the Champions League this season.
Meanwhile, this will be Nakata's second appearance for a World XI team after featuring as a second-half substitute in a 6-2 defeat to Italy in 2000.
More high profile names are likely to be added to the World XI squad in the lead-up to the game, including David Beckham, Rivaldo, and Andrei Shevchenko.
The date for the match has yet to be decided.
