The former Chelsea youngster played the full 90 minutes in The Blades` goalless draw at Bramall Lane against Ipswich Town and was thrilled to be back on the pitch.
Harley showed great promise whilst at Stamford Bridge, but was eventually forced to move on after having his chances limited by the foreign legion in West London.
Despite making a good start with The Cottagers, the impressive form of Rufus Brevett led to the 23-year-old being omitted from Jean Tigana's starting XI.
"It was good to get a full game under my belt," said a delighted Harley. "It was made clear to me at Fulham that I wasn't going to get selected.
"I'd not even been here before now and I didn't know what to expect. To be honest, I just want to play football.
"I want to show people that I'm still a good player, I'm not sure what has gone wrong for me at Fulham."
