Willock has spent the last two months on loan with Barry Fry's side before deciding to make his switch to London Road permanent and will put pen to paper with the club on Thursday.
The 22-year-old, who had previous loan spells with Queens Park Rangers (pictured) and Bristol Rovers, will continue his career on a permanent basis with the Second Division club.
The move will delight Fry following his sale of top striker Leon McKenzie to Norwich City last week.
Willock will be joined by striker Richard Logan, who set to sign with Peterborough on a free transfer from Boston United this week.
Meanwhile, The Posh have appointed goalkeeping coach Tony Godden to help assist the club's custodians three days a week.
