Ouaddou spent last term with the Ligue 1 outfit and will now enjoy the 2004/05 campaign at the same club.
It had previously been thought that Ouaddou had signed a two-year permanent deal with Rennes but Fulham have confirmed that it will be another loan arrangement.
The new deal will take Ouaddou up to the end of his Fulham contract when he will become a free agent in the summer of 2005.
The Moroccan centre half paid tribute to the Premiership side for providing him with the chance to continue his career with Rennes.
"I had two good years at Fulham and I would like to thank the staff, players and fans for their friendship," he told the club's official website.
"I enjoyed my time at the club and I would like to wish Chris Coleman the best of luck for next season.
"I really appreciate what everyone connected with the club has done for me and I will always look for Fulham's results."
With the Ouaddou deal tied up, Rennes are now looking to resolve several other issues concerning current members of their squad.
Rennes are likely to lose Lamine Diatta and Dominique Arribage when their contracts expire, with Bordeaux and Toulouse, respectively, tipped to sign the pair.
But Rennes are hoping to persuade midfielder Etienne Didot to sign a contract extension despite interest from Auxerre and Sochaux.
