Mark Crossley has given Fulham boss Chris Coleman a selection headache.Mark Crossley has given Fulham manager Chris Coleman a selection headache following a superb display against Birmingham in the Carling Cup.
The Wales keeper was given a rare chance against Blues and did not put a foot wrong en route to a closely fought 1-0 win over Steve Bruce's side.
Coleman is concerned by the number of goals The Cottagers have been leaking in the back and has hinted Crossley could keep Edwin van der Sar out of the side.
"He was outstanding," explained Coleman to the club's official website.
"We've been conceding a lot of goals this season, that's not Edwin's fault it's a collective thing. But Mark's never knocked on my door.
"He's gets on in training and works hard. To be fair to him, if he'd been playing first team football I think he would have been first choice for Wales, so it's cost him.
"I told Edwin two weeks ago that I wasn't going to play him tonight and Mark's now given me a selection headache."
