Fulham are close to extending Luis Boa Morte and Edwin van der Sar's deals.Fulham manager Chris Coleman has revealed that Luis Boa Morte and Edwin van der Sar are close to extending their contracts at Craven Cottage.
Boa Morte has been linked with a move to Premiership rivals Newcastle United while van der Sar has been mentioned with possible moves to Arsenal and Manchester United.
Coleman, however, has revealed that new deals have been made to both players and the Welshman is confident the pair will put to paper.
"We have heard nothing from Newcastle," Coleman said.
"Luis is an important player for us and is on the verge of signing a new contract.
"He still has 18 months left on his current contract and we are going to extend that for a further two years. He is close to signing it.
"The offer has also gone to Edwin and we need to get him signed as soon as we can.
"I left him out not long ago and I don't think that's ever happened to him in his career, but he has rolled up his sleeves, trained as hard as I've seen him train and he's back in the team.
"He's been fantastic in the dressing room, talking to the rest of the lads.
"We've seen his true colours and that's pleasing for me. Hopefully, we will get him on a contract and keep him at the club.
"We can't offer the contracts to players we did three or four years ago. But we know Edwin is a quality keeper and quality players cost money.
"It would be a boost for us if they signed. Both are very good players and there has been talk of them going to other clubs."
