The French midfielder was left out of the side for a second time for Wednesday's defeat to Newcastle.
Malbranque was omitted from the side for last weekend's win over Everton and he stormed off after learning of the decision.
Coleman admitted he was disappointed by his decision to walk out before the Everton game, but was happy to see him attend the Newcastle clash.
The Fulham chief has moved to shoot down speculation that the decision to leave out Malbranque means he will be departing Craven Cottage in the summer.
"Of course, he has got a future here," said Coleman. "He's a good player.
"I was disappointed that he walked out [on Saturday] - I didn't like that. I didn't find out until after the game what he had done.
"But he was here tonight and showed his commitment that he wants to get back in.
"He wasn't sulking, he was in the dressing room and that's what it's all about.
"It's not all about one person, it's about the team and the club."
