Jaroslav Drobny is set to miss the start of the new season through injury.Fulham new boy Jaroslav Drobny is set to miss the start of the new season through injury.
The Czech Republic custodian faces undergoing minor knee surgery after picking up a knock in pre-season.
Drobny, who was already carrying a knock, sustained the problem during Fulham's tour of the US and is now expected to be out of action for between three to six weeks.
It means Drobny will miss the start of the new season and leaves Fulham short of options with Mark Crossley also struggling to be fit for the big kick-off.
"The knee started to get swollen and they examined it in America," Drobny told the Czech Daily Post.
"I will learn the precise diagnosis after the surgery.
"I will be out at least three weeks, six at the most. It is a great pity as it looked like I could be involved at the start of the season.
"But I cannot do anything else, I must recover as soon as possible and fight for the number one shirt again."
