Former Fulham striker Steve Marlet will sign for Wolfsburg on Wednesday.
Former Fulham striker Steve Marlet will sign a two-year deal with Bundesliga side Wolfsburg on Wednesday.
Marlet is available on a free transfer after having his contract cancelled by the Craven Cottage club.
The 31-year-old had attracted interest from Auxerre, Nancy and Lille, with Manchester City and Espanyol also registering tentative enquiries.
Having not undergone pre-season training with Fulham it is unlikely that Marlet will be considered fit enough to make an immediate start at the Volkswagen Arena.
Marlet was signed by former Fulham manager Jean Tigana for £11.5 million in August 2001 but failed to impress in West London and has spent the last two seasons on loan with Marseille.
