Fulham's Aaron Hughes insists the Cottagers must rekindle the away form that kept them up last season when they take on Blackburn this Saturday.
Fulham performed heroics last term when they ended their away-form hoodoo by winning their final three away games of the season as they clawed to safety.
Back-to-back wins at Craven Cottage against Arsenal and Bolton have ensured an impressive start to the current campaign, with the London outfit sitting pretty in seventh place.
But defeat away to new boys Hull in the season opener highlighted Fulham's 'Jekyll and Hyde' form and Hughes has called for his team-mates to recapture the form that saved them from near-certain relegation.
"It is very important that we start to pick up away points," Hughes told the Croydon Guardian.
"You like to think that you will get the majority of your points at home with the crowd behind you.
"But that is what separates the top teams from everyone else - the ability to be more consistent on the road.
"We ended last season on a high on our travels, and we have to keep that run going - starting at Blackburn on Saturday."
Last Saturday's impressive 2-1 victory over Bolton saw the first outing of new strike-force Bobby Zamora and Andy Johnson.
And the Northern Ireland defender admitted the squad was buzzing after the potent frontline display.
"It certainly looked good at the weekend," Hughes said.
"The partnership looked exciting and hopefully we can get the best out of them both over the next few months.
"But I thought all round our football looked good against Bolton.
"We passed and moved the ball around really well.
"The movement was really good and we got a positive result because of it.
"It is vital that we build and keep this going."
