Michael O'Neill has named his first squad as Northern Ireland manager, and Aaron Hughes has been talked out of retirement to make the cut to face Norway.
Fulham defender Hughes announced his decision to step out of the international spotlight at the end of Euro 2012 qualification.
He has, however, been persuaded to make himself available for the foreseeable future and will be in contention for a starting berth in O'Neill's first game in charge.
Having been named as successor to Nigel Worthington in December, the former Shamrock Rovers boss will be hoping to get off to a positive start.
His first fixture at the helm sees Northern Ireland face Norway in a friendly at Windsor Park on 29th February.
O'Neill has called upon the services of a number of experienced internationals for that clash, while Burnley defender Michael Duff and Kilmarnock midfielder Dean Shiels return to the fold after lengthy absences.
