Fulham manager Martin Jol was disappointed his side failed to restrict Swansea during their 3-0 Premier League defeat.
The Swans dominated the top-flight encounter at Craven Cottage and strolled to victory thanks to two goals from Gylfi Sigurdsson and a strike from Joe Allen.
Fulham were level on points with the Welsh outfit before kick-off but were completely outplayed by Swansea's slick passing game.
Jol said: "Our intentions were good but we couldn't do what we always do and we gave them belief and more strength - they took advantage of it.
"I feel they (Swansea) always have a lot of possession. There are two ways you do it - press them or drop off and let them play and try to break them.
"Today we didn't play like a team and the players who normally make a difference were not there.
"They had similar points to us so it was important for us to have a home win, get to 39 points and try to get even more - maybe 50 points.
"They play their own style and you have to try and restrict them, but we couldn't."
Jol hopes his side can now bounce back from successive defeats ahead of their tough trip to the league champions.
He added: "Now we have to go to Manchester United and pick ourselves up and do better than what we did today."
