Latics on the brink

The Latics could have been promoted on Saturday but could still go up on Sunday should Chesterfield beat Cardiff City in their clash.
However, Paul Jewell's side kept their side of things ticking over with a 2-0 win over Brentford at The JJB Stadium thanks to Nathan Ellington and Lee McCulloch.
Crewe kept up their hopes of automatic promotion with a 1-0 away win at Blackpool thanks to a single goal from Kenny Lunt after 69 minutes.
Bristol City moved up into fourth place courtesy of a 5-2 win against struggling Mansfield at Ashton Gate.
Lee Peacock put The Robins in the lead after 13 minutes before Scott Murray doubled their advantage just after the half hour. Craig Disley reduced the arrears for The Stags only for Murray to restore their two-goal cushion after 51 minutes.
Tony Butler put through his own net on the hour to make the home side sweat but Louis Carey eased the growing tension with 20 minutes left, and Murray completed his hat-trick to seal the game on 80 minutes.

Marco Gabbiadini and Lawrie Dudfield had earlier cancelled out Michael Walsh's effort to look like giving The Cobblers a welcome three points.
However, both Peter Clarke and Adrian Littlejohn popped up with goals in the final minute to give The Valiants a superb win.
