Nathan Ellington is still waiting for an acceptable offer from Wigan.Nathan Ellington is still waiting for an acceptable offer from Wigan.
Latics chairman Dave Whelan has unleashed a broadside at both Ellington and Jimmy Bullard - who have just one-year left on their current deals.
Whelan insists that both will be sold unless they commit their futures to the Lancashire club.
"I think they will sign, but one thing is sure if they don't - they will be sold," said Whelan.
However, Ellington's agent Tony Finnigan has confirmed that Wigan have yet to offer suitable terms.
"The club have offered a deal that is currently not acceptable," Finnigan told skysports.com.
"The player is more than happy to stay.
"He only moved to Wigan for one reason only and that was to get them in The Premiership and now that he is there we are making sure he is happy on and off the park and negotiations will continue and if we don't agree then it is the club's prerogative to sell.
"But I am optimistic he will stay.
"Nathan Ellington has been asked questions ever since he came into the game and each season he gets into double figures and what we must remember he was injured for over half of last season and as far as we are concerned he is one of the best British forwards around."
