Nathan Ellington could be set to return to former club Wigan.
Nathan Ellington could be set to return to former club Wigan, his advisor has hinted.
Ellington joined West Brom from Wigan at the beginning of last season but has failed to find his best form and has found first-team opportunities hard to come by under new manager Tony Mowbray.
Ellington did come off the substitutes' bench on Boxing Day to score two goals in the 4-2 victory over Preston, prompting Mowbray to insist that he had no intention of selling him.
However, advisor Tony Finnigan has declared that Ellington is desperate to play more regularly and suggested he could be on his way back to the JJB stadium.
"Let's just say Nathan is very keen to kick-start his career again," Finnigan told the Manchester Evening News.
"It's also common knowledge that the Wigan manager Paul Jewell got the best out of him when he played there."
Paul Jewell is eager to bolster his squad in the January transfer window and enquired about Ellington's availability in the summer.
One potential stumbling block could be the transfer fee, with West Brom reportedly set to hold out for £3million.
