Paul Jewell insists Wigan Athletic have not received an improved offer from Rangers for Lee McCulloch.
The Latics rejected a 'derisory' £750,000 bid from the Scottish club last week and McCulloch subsequently put in a transfer request.
That was turned down by Jewell, who selected the attacker for Sunday's 2-0 defeat to Everton at The JJB Stadium.
Reports have since suggested Rangers have upped their bid to £1.1million, but Jewell is adamant he is yet to receive a suitable offer.
"As far as I'm concerned that is not true," Jewell told the Wigan Evening Post.
"Unless we get an offer which makes you jump out of your seat, Lee stays here."
Meanwhile, Jewell confirmed that he will continue to have no problems in picking McCulloch, despite the player's desire to move on.
He added: "People can have their differences with the club or with me. I don't really care. He is paid by us to play for us.
"We both know each other well enough, and if he tries his best, then (there is) not a problem. If he doesn't, he's got a problem."
