Stephen Crainey has put an end to speculation about his future by signing a new deal at Blackpool, while midfielder Claus Jorgensen has also penned a one-year contract.
Crainey was consistently impressive for the Seasiders last term and his performances saw him emerge as a reported target for Burnley.
A number of other Championship clubs were also understood to be interested but he has now inked a two-year contract with an option for a further third year.
Manager Simon Grayson is pleased to be keeping Crainey at Bloomfield Road and has paid tribute to the 27-year-old.
"There was a lot of speculation about Burnley and a few other clubs being interested in Stephen and when your best players are playing well they are obviously going to attract interest," Grayson told the club's official website.
"Stephen was one of our best and most consistent players last season and we have acted quickly to tie him down to a longer term contract.
"Stephen is really happy here and it is a big boost to get him to sign a longer deal because I don't think he will be too far away from getting back into the Scotland squad.
"We are all delighted he has signed the new deal and he is looking forward to getting back training on Thursday."
Jorgensen has also been rewarded for his fine displays last season with the option of a second year included in the terms of his agreement.
Grayson said of the 32-year-old: "Claus did very well again and was a key part of our success.
"We made him an offer at the end of last season and we are delighted he will be staying here for another year.
"He is a great character in the dressing room and I am sure he will play a vital part in helping us become a better team."
