James McCarthy, Ben Watson and Emmerson Boyce are each determined to repay Wigan's faith in them by helping to prolong their Premier League status.
All three committed their futures to the Latics on Tuesday, with midfielder McCarthy happy to repay Wigan's faith in him despite being a target for other top-flight clubs.
Arsenal and Liverpool had been linked with 20-year-old McCarthy, but in signing a new five-year deal he appears to have killed the speculation.
He said: "I owe a big debt of loyalty to the club and the gaffer for giving me the chance to prove myself in the Premier League, and I am really pleased to be able to sign this deal."
Watson, who penned a three-year extension, believes there is a fresh buzz about the club this season after staving off relegation last term and holding on to the services of boss Roberto Martinez.
"I'm looking forward to keep establishing ourselves further in the Premier League over the next few years and there's a real good feeling at the club right now," said Watson.
"I've really enjoyed my time here and I just want to thank the manager, the club and the supporters for making me feel so welcome."
Meanwhile, Boyce, who signed from Crystal Palace in 2006, admits Wigan has been a career high for him and the 31-year-old is also thankful of the club's loyal support.
He said: "I'm delighted to sign for another two years, I've enjoyed the best years of my career here.
"There have been many changes during my time, but it's a great young squad at the moment that will keep improving. Thanks to all the supporters for sticking by me over the years."
