The winger was sent off for violent conduct after clashing with Blackpool defender Gary MacKenzie in the dying embers of Saturday's clash.
But the decision has now been overturned, meaning the 24-year-old is free to face Charlton at the weekend.
A statement on the Latics' website read: "The club can confirm that after submitting an appeal following James McClean's red card at Blackpool, an independent regulatory commission convened by the FA has withdrawn his three match suspension for violent conduct."
