Everton midfielder Francisco Junior has extended his loan spell at Wigan until mid-January.
The 23-year-old has started each of the club's Sky Bet League 1 games this term and manager Gary Caldwell has been keen to extend his stay beyond the initial month.
"Cisco has been a revelation since he's arrived," Caldwell told the club's official website.
"When we found out there was a possibility of extending the loan, it was something I was very keen to get sorted.
"He gives us something different in the middle of the park and complements very well the other players we have in that department. His attitude has been spot on and he has blended very well into the group."
