Leigh Bromby and Andy Gray scored as Sheffield United beat Plymouth 2-1.Leigh Bromby and Andy Gray scored late goals for Sheffield United as they beat Plymouth 2-1.
All three goals came in the last 20 minutes with David Friio on target for Argyle three minutes from time.
While Friio put a free kick past Paddy Kenny's post, United started slowly and did not threaten for 20 minutes and their first effort came from Andy Liddell, whose header was saved by Roman Larrieu.
The Frenchman did better a minute later to keep out a Gray header while Phil Jagielka headed wide and Michael Tonge shot past the post.
The Blades continued to come close and both Chris Morgan and Danny Cadamarteri headed wide.
Paul Shaw, Cadamarteri and Bromby were all denied with Larrieu increasingly impressive in the Argyle goal.
The deadlock was finally broken by Bromby from a long throw from Jon Harley and Gray doubled the lead from an Andy Liddell corner.
Though Friio scored for Plymouth, it was too late for Argyle.
