Huddersfield Town have signed Sheffield United striker Luke Beckett on loan.Huddersfield Town have signed striker Luke Beckett on a month's loan from Yorkshire rivals Sheffield United.
The former Barnsley, Chester City and Chesterfield hit-man will be available to face his former club in The Tykes at Oakwell on Saturday.
The 28-year-old has struggled to establish himself in Neil Warnock's first team squad since arriving in a £50,000 move from Stockport County back in November.
Beckett was delighted to have the chance to earn more playing with Peter Jackson's Terriers.
"I spoke to the manager [Warnock] about going out on loan to get a few games because I have only played a small amount of football in the past few weeks," Beckett told Huddersfield's official website.
"He said yes and then six clubs came in for me and he asked where I would like to go and Huddersfield was top of the list.
"There were a lot of local clubs, but I remember playing here and the facilities really impressed me, plus I know a few of the lads."
Beckett's arrival comes as Huddersfield have signed youngster Tom Clarke to his first professional contract at The Galpharm Stadium.
The 17-year-old centre back is the younger brother of Terriers defender Nathan Clarke and has impressed Jackson with his progress through the club's youth ranks.
