Sheffield United will discuss a new contract with Steve Kabba in the New Year.Sheffield United have revealed they will meet again with striker Steve Kabba to discuss a new contract in the New Year.
The news comes after The Blades were unable to reach to reach an agreement with Kabba and his representatives over a contract extension.
The former Crystal Palace hit-man's current deal is set to expire at the season's end and the Bramall Lane club are keen to extend his stay after a fine start to the current campaign.
The 24-year-old, who endured a frustrating time with injuries in the previous three seasons, seems intent on earning a long-term contract.
With both sides seemingly at an impasse, Blades boss Neil Warnock says talks will resume in 2006.
"We've agreed to meet in the New Year and see if we can thrash out a deal then, but it's disappointing," Warnock told Sky Sports News.
"You want lads to be signed up and you want everything to be agreeable at the club.
"I wouldn't say it's a healthy situation, but I can probably understand the board's point of view at times."
