Jones fears Jerome exit

Cardiff boss Dave Jones has admitted he fears losing star striker Cameron Jerome.

Cardiff boss Dave Jones has admitted he fears losing star striker Cameron Jerome in the transfer window.

A number of clubs are hovering over the 19-year-old after an impressive season to date at Ninian Park.

Charlton are the latest club to be linked Jerome with Championship duo Sheffield United and Norwich both keen on the forward's signature.

Jones knows he faces a battle to hold onto the teenager if someone makes a big offer.

"It will be anxious for my chairman," said Jones.

"Every footballer has his price and if a Premier club comes calling it is very difficult to keep hold of any young player, particularly someone like Cameron Jerome.

"I would prefer to add to the squad but to do that I may have to let one or two players go as I will need to."
