Nalis heads to Devon

Plymouth Argyle have signed midfielder Lilian Nalis following from Sheffield United.

Plymouth Argyle have signed midfielder Lilian Nalis following his release from Championship side Sheffield United.

The former Leicester City man joins the Devon outfit after becoming surplus to requirements at Bramall Lane.

The 34-year-old spent time on loan at Coventry City this season and after being released by The Blades this week, the Frenchman has opted to join Tony Pulis's Pilgrims for the rest of the season.

Nalis is expected make his Plymouth debut when they host Norwich City at Home Park on Saturday and Pulis was pleased to secure the veteran's services.

"The fact that he's had Premiership experience, as well as Championship experience, helps but the big thing here is that he's wavered an 18-month contract at Sheffield United to come here from now until the end of the season," Pulis told Plymouth's official website.

"It shows he's not going to just sit around and take his money. He wants to come here and play, and impress everybody and try to get a contract for next season.

"He has been promoted to The Premiership with Leicester City as well, so he'll add to the squad."
