Cardiff boss Dave Jones has blasted Neil Warnock's bid to sign Cameron Jerome.Cardiff boss Dave Jones has told Sheffield United counterpart Neil Warnock to 'put up or shut up' in his bid to sign Bluebirds striker Cameron Jerome.
The Blades have had a bid of around £2 million for the prolific striker turned down already by the Welsh outfit, and Warnock has become frustrated in his search for a new striker.
Sam Hammam has said they would want at least £3.5 million for the 15-goal marksman, a fee baulked at by Warnock who feels the price is far too high.
Jones has become unhappy with Warnock's comments on the subject, and says that he either pays their asking price for Jerome or shuts up.
"The only bid we are supposed to have had for Cameron is off Neil, and he's moaning because his price doesn't match ours," Jones told the Western Mail.
"What does he want me to do? It's like me going for one of his players and my valuation not matching his - he'd tell me where to go
"The key thing here is what Cameron's worth to us.
"So Neil better stop moaning. He has to put up or shut up. And he hasn't put up, so I'm telling Neil just to shut up!"
Jones has also become unhappy at the continual speculation surrounding the future of Jason Koumas, and he insists he will stay at Ninian Park on loan until the end of the season.
"Where's he going?" Jones said of Koumas.
"I thought he was with us until the end of the season.
"He's not going anywhere as far as I know, and the boy wants to stay. He's reiterated that time and time again.
"We are trying to buy him. So, as far as I'm concerned, unless it's a top team like Arsenal or Manchester United that come in for him, he's quite happy where he is."
