Doncaster Rovers have re-signed Sheffield United striker Jonathan Forte on loan.
Doncaster Rovers have re-signed Sheffield United striker Jonathan Forte on a six-month loan deal.
Forte, who turns 20 next week, will embark on his third loan spell with the League One club after two loan spells with Donny early last season.
Forte played the latter part of last term on loan with Yorkshire rivals Rotherham United.
With the youngster unlikely to figure in Neil Warnock's plans with the Premiership new boys for next season, Forte has opted for another spell of League One football with Dave Penney's side.
"It's great to be back at Rovers and it was an easy choice to make," Forte told the club's official website.
"I had wanted to come back last season but I could not, but once I knew about this, I jumped at the chance to get first-team football.
"I knew it would be hard to get in the side at United now they are in The Premiership, but I can now get the experience here and force my way into the side at Bramall Lane."
The news comes as James Coppinger has signed a three-year contract extension with the club.
The former Darlington and Newcastle United player has spent the last two seasons with Donny after moving from Nationwide Conference club Exeter City in August 2004.
