Sheffield United striker Darius Henderson's knee injury is not as serious as first feared.

Striker could be back in a few weeks

Sheffield United have been handed a boost with the news that Darius Henderson's knee injury is not as serious as first feared. Henderson missed Tuesday's draw with Coventry after injuring his knee in a freak training ground accident. It was feared Henderson could face up to six months on the sidelines with the injury, but scans have shown the problem is not so serious. Blades boss Kevin Blackwell hopes the summer signing from Watford could be back in action in a few weeks. "It turns out it is not a conventional, time-consuming knee ligament injury, but more damage to the fibres in the ligament," Blackwell told the Yorkshire Post. "That is much better and a great boost for us all because I am hopeful that it might only take a couple of weeks to heal."
