Sheffield United striker James Beattie has pledged his long-term future to the club, admitting he would be happy to see out his career at Bramall Lane.
The 30-year old joined The Blades from Everton in the summer of 2007 for a club record fee that could rise to £4.5 million, and the financial outlay immediately reaped rewards for Kevin Blackwell's side as he netted 22 goals.
The one-time England international has set his sights on an even greater tally this term, believing the side are capable of promotion from the Championship, and he is happy with life in South Yorkshire.
"My long-term future is here and I would be happy to finish my career at this club," Beattie said.
"I've no plans to go anywhere. I came here to get us back in the Premier League - and hopefully this season that's what we'll do."
