Tykes striker suffered fractured skull earlier this month

Barnsley striker Iain Hume has been re-admitted to hospital following complications. Hume suffered a fractured skull after being caught by Chris Morgan in the Tykes' game against Sheffield United on 8th November. He underwent emergency surgery and spent time in a high dependency unit in hospital. The 25-year-old returned home last week but he has now returned to hospital after feeling unwell. "Iain complained of feeling unwell and started vomiting. His family sought medical advice and decided the best course of action was for Iain to go back into hospital as a precaution," Barnsley owner Patrick Cryne told The Sun. Barnsley confirmed in a later statement that Hume was expecting to be back home again on Wednesday. The statement said: "Iain Hume was readmitted to hospital yesterday complaining of feeling unwell. "This is due to an infection and he has been prescribed a course of antibiotics. "He will mostly likely spend tonight in hospital purely as a precaution and should be back home on Wednesday."
