Sheffield United duo Darius Henderson and Jamie Ward are both struggling to be fit for the Championship play-off final against Burnley on Monday.
Henderson is struggling with an Achilles problem, while Ward is suffering with a hamstring injury.
Blades boss Kevin Blackwell is resigned to the fact that the pair will not make the trip to Wembley.
"I'll be honest, both of them are touch and go," said Blackwell.
"They both have significantly worse injuries than we thought. If one of them plays I'll be delighted.
"The medical team are working 24/7 with the boys, but I just feel that the game will come a week too early."
