Smith, O'Toole and McIndoe set to join Sheff Utd

Sheffield United are closing in on Watford duo Tommy Smith and John-Joe O'Toole and Bristol City's Michael McIndoe. The Blades have had bids accepted for all three players and now are in talks about bringing them to Bramall Lane. O'Toole had a three-month loan spell at United last season and Blades boss Kevin Blackwell is keen to make the move permanent. United are believed to have agreed an offer of £1.8million for sought-after forward Smith, while Bristol City are open to the sale of McIndoe. Blackwell believes the trio will add more options to his squad for the new season. "We are in discussions with all three and I am sure fans will agree they are all quality players," he said. "We have to build a squad that will give us more options next season."
