Chris Morgan hopes to hold talks over a new long-term contract at Sheffield United after revealing his wish to finish his career at Bramall Lane.
The Blades recently took up an option to extend the defender's deal until the end of next season and Morgan is happy to be part of Kevin Blackwell's plans.
Morgan has made over 260 appearances for the club since joining from Barnsley in 2003 and aims to see out his career with the Blades.
He is keen to hold talks with Blackwell at the end of the season and the 32-year-old sees no reason why he would want to quit the Championship club.
Chuffed to bits
"If I got the chance then I'd love to stay here until I hang up my boots," Morgan told the Sheffield Star.
"I've told the gaffer that I want to be around for longer and he wants me to be so that was great to hear. Hopefully we'll be able to sit down when all the games are over with and talk about doing something more.
"This club has absolutely mushroomed of late and who wouldn't want to be a part of it? We've got a great crowd, a great team and a great stadium with plans in place to do even more and I'm chuffed to bits to be a part of that.
"It was in my terms that the club could take up that option on me and I'm glad they did."
